Road Traffic Accident Compensation

Road Traffic Accident Compensation Claim UK

Shaw and Co Solicitors, an expert Personal Injury Law Firm based in the North East of England, won substantial accident compensation for a client, who was badly injured and lucky to survive a serious Road Traffic Accident.

The accident took place on a busy dual carriage-way in Newcastle. A large metal part fell from a passing Heavy Goods Vehicle, which was hauling a Road Rolling machine, at the time. The client, who was in a standard road vehicle, alongside the HGV, suffered extensive injuries, when the metal part fell from the HGV, smashed his windscreen and struck him in the face.

One of the leading personal injury experts at Shaw and Co Solicitors, successfully pursued the case, seeking compensation and justice for the injuries suffered by their client. Through CCTV enquiries, it was established which machine the metal part had come from, and a claim for compensation was made against the haulier.

A dispute, as to liability, between the owners of the road roller and the haulier arose, but Shaw and Co succeeded in settling the clients claim in full, and recovered a six figure sum for his injuries. Past and future financial loss to include the costs of future dental and plastic surgery treatment.
